Elizabeth & Lawrence Directors

Elizabeth has a very active role in the day to day running of the business. Whether looking at the décor of a wedding or suggesting menus and new dishes bespoke to our clients, Elizabeth loves every little detail of a wedding or event.
Growing up in hospitality and helping her mum in the kitchen, Elizabeth has always been involved in food service of a very high standard. Following training, she went on to gain experience in many areas of the industry latterly becoming an operations manager for the world’s largest food service provider, creating amazing events in castles, private estates and even RRS Discovery. We are very proud to say that Elizabeth has recently been awarded the title of Most Instrumental Wedding & Events Catering Business Director in Scotland for 2023.
Behind every successful woman is a successful man. Elizabeth’s husband Lawrence, who leads our event support, ensures that each events construction and logistics plans and managed efficiently whilst also dealing with any challenge we many come across whether it be snow, rain, or sheep in the road! But Lawrence has another love - farming. During the week he advises and supports many farmers and estates throughout the Northeast as an agricultural consultant. You may even find him helping on the family farm in Rathen with his brother Ewan.
Lawrence and Elizabeth have been blessed with 3 children – Alexandra, Rebecca-Ann and Jack who all love to lend a hand at Country Flavours, working as a family.

Megan - Operations Manager

Megan joined the Country Flavours team in 2016 while studying for her degree in Events Management at Robert Gordons University. Megan started as part of the front of house team and, with training from Elizabeth herself, grew through the business.

Megan always looks forward to meeting and talking to clients in person from the initial enquiry and meeting to being there on the day to make sure everything is taken care of.

Keeping on top of wedding and event trends and styles is important to Megan and listening to all your personal ideas to ensure your vision comes together for your special day.

She can often be found as the face behind the keyboard as she answers all your little questions and queries and helps manage our social media platforms.

Megan has always enjoyed the diversity that the wedding and events industry holds from catering in cow sheds to castles you never know what the next clients dream may entail.

Katherine - Event Manager and Dream Maker

Having been with Country Flavours since 2014, Katherine started as a young member of our front of house team while studying at Aboyne Academy. Having being trained by Elizabeth herself, Katherine has grown with the company, being promoted to one of our wedding and event managers within a few years of working with us. From packing your cutlery and tying napkins, to fluffing your dress on your big day, she takes care of all the fine details.
Katherine loves the variety there is of working in the wedding and event industry whether it be serving stovies on a farm or champagne in a stately home, no two events are the same.

Alexandra - Event Manager and Dream Maker

Being born into the Greig family as the eldest, Alexandra lives and breathes the same passion for fine food and amazing events as her mum. Having grown up around weddings and events, delivery of these has become second nature. Although her heart is in events, she is studying to become a doctor at the University of Aberdeen. Alexandra dedicates her time between the business and her studies, once asking her mum Elizabeth “Could I be a part time doctor and part time events manager?”
Alexandra’s favourite part of the day is when the party begins!
